Stars

Ehh. I haven't uploaded anything in a while, and I just finished this last night, so... ta-dahh.

First off--I apologize for the generic-ness! D: Not the most creative pose, I know... the rough draft actually came about a bit before Canada Day. I wanted to draw something quick and simple (in the original, she was supposed to be a brunette holding a maple leaf) I could post here, and maybe add to my Festivities folder (which isn't very impressive at the moment.) I got lazy, tho', and kinda forgot about the sketch for a while. Fast-forward a week or two, and I ended up tweaking it a bit and lining it so I could practice colouring (I don't use my markers as much as I should...)
I've sorta got the hang of colouring again, but I sure did kill off some of my blues...

Oh, and about the kanji at the left--it's supposed to say 'hoshira' ('stars', I hope. "¯ ▽ ¯") I asked my mom what it meant in Chinese, and I think she read it as 'star look' or something. Anyone out there wanna proofread...?

Okay, enough chitchat! (See, this is what happens when I only upload one picture a month...) I'm pretty happy with this one overall, even though I could've made the background a bit less... boring. Bah--I'll save it for next time. This was also my first attempt at watermarking!
